I am desperately trying to complain DIRECTLY to airbnb but the run around on the site is ridiculous. I ended up booking a place and now I can't get a refund, the host is short and glib and I am not confident that this place is any good. She won't let me come see it because it's booked all the time and this is a special trip!! Why won't airbnb let me speak with someone? I can't cancel because I have no other options and stupidly she has a strict policy about cancellations and i would lose $500.
At this point airbnb SUCKS.

While it's unfortunate that you're stuck in this position (and I agree airbnb can be ridiculously difficult to contact!) and I do hope you are able to contact Airbnb and change your reservation, I am a bit boggled by your comment here. You booked a place with a strict reservation policy without discussing a special request ahead of time? If you had a requirement to see the place ahead of time, why book it without confirmation that you could do so? That's a pretty unusual request on Airbnb and several hosts have warned against obliging because it can be a red flag for a scam situation.
I have a strict policy when he comes to cancellation as well and i dont push any guests to book
and when he comes to visit my place before coming it is a big NO NO
as many hosts profile they are many photos and reviews for guests to be able to make their own decision if it is suitable for them or not
I think guests have to be responsible for their own mistake and not blame the host
Hello @Julia322,
Nice to meet you.
You are in the right place, there is lots of information on how to contact the Support Team. You can find this by taking a look at the Contact Community Guide (created by a host here in the CC), which is also found at the top of the Help board in the CC and by typing in 'Contact' to the search bar.
I can understand you are worried about the situation, especially as it sounds as though you have booked it for a special occasion so you just want it to be perfect. As others have mentioned here, it is up to the host whether you can view the listing before your actual booking date. As we are going into the busiest time of the year it is likely your hosts is completely fully booked back-to-back. Having said this though, now that you have booked, you still have lots of opportunities to message and talk with your host (keeping in mind though, if they have bookings back-to-back they may be quite busy during the day). Therefore, I would recommend if you have lots of questions, perhaps you could arrange a suitable time for you both to chat over the phone or by message so that you can get thing sorted and you feel more happy about everything. Plus, I am sure you did this before you booked, but you can also take a look at the reviews your host has received from past guests.
I hope you get this sorted and you have a fantastic trip whether you stay in your existing listing or not.
Lastly, just to mention, to make it easier to find you post I have made it into a new topic here in the Help board. I hope this is fine with you.
Thanks,
Lizzie

Looking to contact our Support Team, for details...take a look at the Community Help Guides.
The community replies seem to ignore the issue here, the ability to contact AirBNB directly. I am an owner and have a major problem with pricing for which I cannot find a solution. I cannot directly send Airbnb screenshots showing examples of this problem and there appears to be no way to directly contact Support (an oxymoron). I would receive the same level of support if I whined about my problem on Facebook. I do not know if the ethereal Support Team reads t hese comments, but I would like to have this problem corrected.
I’ve never had any problem getting a hold of someone on Airbnb. There are several methods including via a phone and email. When I called, the wait time was never that long and neither was waiting for an email response. Not sure why you’re having so much difficulty connecting with someone.
