Payouts in New Zealand

Just checking for other hosts in New Zealand that are having large differences in the amount they are supposed to get paid out & what they actually get paid in USD once they convert it

Hi . I am always trying to work out the best currency ideas. I don't know or understand much about exchange rates. 

Dose anyone have ideas on how we as hosts can make this work well through pay pal and the fact that we can change the currency to suit us and the economic times . .
