Photo update August 2019 - Photos desaturated

Has anyone else noticed that the viewing experience on mobile has changed? All my photos are lacking some color (desaturated) when scrolling. If i press on a photo, the app opens the photo and it's the true color of the photo, but then you have to X out to scroll again. It's really strange and I don't like it. I don't want to over-saturate my photos to compensate. I don't understand why they would take color out of the photos and make the photos look worse. I'm a photographer and do photos for many clients. This is annoying.

Its the same on desktop. They have added an overlay and only when you click on the image you see its true colours. They change things regularly.

Hi Solveig, Thanks for the response. That's what I thought they had done. Having just finished uploading photos for a client, I was not stoked to see the overlay. On mobile, I don't think people click to open the photos (I generally don't). I guess this helps give the airbnb photos a more uniform look across the platform. oh well. I know the instant I oversaturate photos to make them look better, they'll switch it back and all my photos will look bad! haha.
