Simo the host from *** in Marrakesh has been victim, and his sister Zineb, to assault by a guest that stayed recently. He hit Zineb and brought prostitutes back to the Riad. He is continuing to send abusive message now to wind up Simo.
Simo was initially away at the time, and could only send WhatsApp messages to scare off the guest (probably was not the best thing to do), but he is protecting his family somehow.
They are great host s and this is terrible news. Zined has reported this to the police and the man if he comes back to Morocco will be arrested. The man has nevertheless reported Simo to Airbnb, and as a result Airbnb have blocked them. Please please Airbnb try resolve the situation and relist them. They have built up a respectable reputation in the community and are great hosts.

Agreed!! *** was by far the best Airbnb I have stayed in to date -- The family made such an effort to make us feel at home, and Simo took a group of us travelers out on New Years Eve and we saw such a cool side of Marrakech and all left as life-long friends.
Would be such a shame if this prevented Simo and his family from continuing. I was looking forward to staying here again and had already recommended it to friends, so lets do what we can to keep them on the platform!!

I have also had the pleasure of staying at the ***. I am so sad to hear that you have decided to block them. They are a lovely family, amazing hosts and I would stay there again when i go back to Marrakech. Simo told me and my friend about the incident with the guest when we were there, and he was very upset with how it all happened, and that he was not there to help his family and the other guest from this man, that clearly didn't have any manners or respect for others.
Maybe Simo didn't tackle it the best way, by using whatsapp, but I don't believe he (or his whole family.... and future guests) should be punished by it.
Please give Simo, the family and the beautiful raid another chance. They are some of the best hosts I have stayed with!!

Also from the NL side a strong request to bring this wonderful spot back to the AIRBNB charts - that's where *** deserves to be... We heard of the problems they had with a customer who had bad intentions and we feel deep sympathy for Zenab who was even physically abused.
We cannot remember that there was anything negative about our stay in Marrakesh.
During this dark winter period we finally found time to complete the book of our Marrakesh travel in 2015. One of the highlights was our stay with Simo, Zenab and their mother in the *** riad. Seldom Margo and I have been received with so much warmth, interest and enthusiasm! We remember with great pleasure how the family provided us with their good care. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, I could not be taught how to eat properly from their delicious home-made tajine – it must have cost them hours to clean up the mess I made on the floor of the dining room… Again so many apologies for my clumsiness, dear Zenab!!
Meantime we have recommended *** to many friends and without any hesitation we would make a reservation with this kind family if we should return to Marrakesh.

Riad *** is my first and the best booking from airbnb, and I felt so lucky to stay with this fantastic family, they were so nice ,welcome and helpful. They tried their best to help me and make me feel as home. Simo even helped me to get the new phone and solved all the problems after my phone's been stolen. I really want to back someday and I also recommended them to many friends.
I was so sorry to hear about what happened to my lovely Zinab, and also the riad. As I said they are really good at hospitality and trying to do better, I really hope that you can give them a chance and let them reopen. They are really the super host, the best host.

I had the pleasure of staying at *** in March 2016. I cannot speak more highly of our experience. From the minute we walked in the door my friend and I felt welcomed and at home. Simo, Zineb, Meryam and their mother were so kind and attentive to all of our needs. From assisting us with transportation, arranging excursions, showing us around the city centre, and taking time to share with us about life in Marrakesh, we could not have been more pleased with our time with this family. This was one of my best airbnb experiences, and I am sad to hear their listing has been unjustifiably removed. I have and will continue to recommend this riad to my friends. This is a lovely family who has been made victim to a horrible crime. Please relist this site! I look forward to one day visiting this family again and staying in their wonderful riad.

I am emailing you in support of Mohamed Sebbarh's Riad located in Marrakech, Morocco. From the day that I reserved a room at the Riad until the day I arrived and during my stay, he was extremely helpful and kind to me. His family was warm and charming which added to the magic and joy of staying at this Riad. Marrakech is a busy city and having hosts who are native to the area and hospitable eases the stress. I was informed that Mohamed's account is blocked, which is unfortunate because other travelers are missing the opportunity to experience Marrakech with some of the city's best hosts. One incident shouldn't be grounds for his account being blocked. Your company needs to further investigate the situation and not just take one person's side. I hope that you consider all of the testimonies of people who have contacted you in support of Mohamed and unlock his account.

Mon séjour chez Simo et sa famille était ma première expérience Airbnb. J'avais un peu d'appréhension, car je ne savais pas du tout à quoi m'attendre. Mais quelle agréable surprise!!! Je suis tombée amoureuse de cette famille qui m'a accueillie à bras ouverts, qui m'a même soignée lorsque j'étais malade!! Vous en connaissez beaucoup, vous, des personnes qui prendraient le temps de vous soigner??
J'ai tellement appris durant mon séjour sur leur culture, leur mode de vie, traditions... Simo, petite- maman (la maman de Simo), Zineb ont été formidables. Ils ont pris soin de nous, nous ont conseillées, orientées. Simo a même pris le temps plusieurs fois de nous accompagner pour éviter que nous nous perdions!!
Cette famille est désormais dans mon coeur et je dois dire que je me sens tellement triste pour Zineb!! Je pense très fort à elle et je tiens à ce qu'elle sache que je ferai absolument tout ce qui est nécessaire pour que justice lui soit rendue!! Croyez- moi que je vais en mobiliser du monde!!
Et si jamais la personne qui gère le dossier de Simo sur Airbnb lit mon message, eh bien sachez ceci: si Simo n'est pas remis sur vôtre site à cause d'un psychopathe que vous avez osé lui envoyer, je ferai ce que je pourrais pour ternir vôtre réputation et surtout je ne ferai absolument plus aucune réservation par Airbnb!! Je ne cautionnerais jamais une institution qui donne raison à un malade mental!! OK, Simo l'a insulté!! Et alors?? Vous auriez voulu qu'il l'appelle en disant " excusez- moi, Monsieur, de vous importuner, mais pourriez- vous arrêter de frapper ma soeur, svp??" Ah la bonne blague!!

I am sorry this has happened to your friend.
We don't know the circumstances or why Zineb or Simo didn't contact BNB straight away when this happened so they could cancel the booking and ask the guest to leave, rather than messaging the guest on whats app. We don't know if Simo left threatening messages for the guest and this is why their account was suspended.
There is little point posting on this forum as BNB doesn't monitor it.
I would suggest you post your message and responses on their FB group if you want them to reconsider and also on Twitter.
Let us know what happens.

OK Airbnb, I just want to tell you that all my family loves Simo's family!! And a lot! I can't accept that one guy has hit Zineb.
This family is so wonderful, helpful, funny :)... I can't describe everything that we have lived with them. But, I can assure you that Simo is the kindest man in the world! And I think that he just wanted to save his sister. I would do exactly the same think!! And I am sure, you too, mister Airbnb who manages Simo's file!!
I truly hope that one american Airbnb member will denounce at the police this dangerous person! As, Airbnb doesn't protect ourselves from this type of individu... I ask myself now if I will continue to book my holidays with Airbnb!!

I am sorry to hear about this experience. It is great to see you and many other guests enjoyed your stay and the time you spent with your host. I am sure this will mean a lot to him to hear such kind words.
In regards to your post here, I wanted to let you know that the Community Center is for host to host discussion and as it does sounds like there are quite a lot of things involved in this, it is best to speak directly with the Airbnb Support Team so they can look into it further.
