the guest made a previous reservation just signing with one person after my response he wanted to adjust the number of person but couldnt and was asking me the difference in dollar value but my site is in euros
accidentaly I refused the approval to give clients the chance to make the reservation properly but not sure if done right ????
how should have done it ?
someone can suggest me ....
If there was a confirmed reservation, the guest (or you) could have changed the number of persons and the price difference would be calculated and charged to the guests in his own currency. After confirmation of the change (by the other party) everything is finished OK. That's normal Airbnb procedure.

there was not a confirmed reservation ....
You wrote "the guest made a previous reservation". So if it was only a reservation-request, ask the guest to withdraw it and make a new request. If it was only an inquiry, you could also sent the guest the right booking via "special offer".

he was trying to ask me info on rates in dollars that for me was difficult to calculate becasue on the road with my mobile and not easy to calculate considering the exchange and all the other part of the total like service costs and cleaning ....which exchange value is applied ? the daily one or ? anyhow I refused with previous message to clients to preapproval missing people numember and ask client to insert the proper value to have the right offer from the system ...
let's see what happen .....
was a request .....with intention to confirm but with wrong details (like people participation )
OK, I read this after sending my message above, solution is in there
ok thanks
Is this true for asian currencies as well?
@Claudia855 It really isn't up to the host to have to research currency exchange rates. Nor does a host know what rate Airbnb may be using on any given day. If the guest's account is in US dollars, when they fill in the booking request with the correct number of guests, the total price will appear to them in their own currency. They can then choose to go ahead and book or not.
