Pregnant Guest

I have a potential booking for a guest that is referred by a member that represents an agency that helps Pregnant Women and partners attend near the Hospital from where they live 100 km away while they wait to come to term.  They want to book for 10 days but they are fairly likely wanting to cut the time short.  What can I do to handle this prcatically:  I think I will offer to to Refund them for up to 6 days of the booking after 4 days have lapsed.

How might I deal with this?

They can adjust the booking once it has started and depending on your cancelation policy will be refunded through the site. Although if you have a special deal for stays over 7 days they will loose this discount I believe.

The most important thing is for you to NOT cancel anything yourself!

@Bill405  When it comes to a birth, it's pretty difficult to anticipate when the baby will decide to come- it could be earlier than the due date, it could be later. So while they may want out of the booking 6 days early, they could just as easily need to extend it (if you have availability) for 6 days. There are also cases where the newborn needs to be kept in hospital for some time for observation after the birth. So unless this woman has already gone into labor, or has a scheduled Caesarean, I wouldn't try to anticipate them cancelling early at this point- just deal with it when the time comes.
