I know my friend just hosted a guest but i havent received a credit for his first hosting. Why is that?

I have pushed him to sign up on airbnb and also finally host a guest and i havent got the return as promised for my efforts!

Hi @Maruschka1  @Helen3 is right about contacting Air BNB.  I did look at the terms and conditions of the Host Referral program and note the following:

To qualify for any payouts, the Referred Host’s first received booking must have a value (excluding cleaning fees, taxes, and special offers) of at least 100 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency). The Referred Host has 150 days from the date they are invited to Complete their first booking in order to earn the Payment.

No payment will be made for listings created by current or former Airbnb Hosts, or for bookings made by family or friends of the Referred Host. All Referred Hosts must be new, first time Hosts. Payouts will be made within 30 days of each qualifying event, to the payout mechanism you designate on your Airbnb account. The Airbnb Terms of Service as it relates to the application of taxes applies to any Program payout.

If you meet the above criteria you should check with Air BNB to ensure there is no glitch in your payment.

Does anyone have a phone number to call Airbnb administrators.  Help! Thanks

You have reached a host forum, @Pat144, not Air BNB.  In this Community Center you will find much information about your concern and how to contact Air BNB.  Here is a link to the guide

I am a host and clicked on the subject referral credit to see if anyone could clarify exactly how the referral system works for guests. I called an AIRBNB representative before writing the previous message because I was given conflicting information on the referral benefits for guests. I sent 30 invitations to family and friends and I need to be able to answer questions if they contact me. I am currently waiting to get clear answers before I respond to a neighbor who made an inquiry by phone for a potential booking in December by her family members.  If I don't get the clarification, I will pursue the booking privately and not through AIRBNB.

I just got off the phone with an AIRBNB representative because I am still unclear and confused about the benefits of referrals by hosts and for guests. From my understanding if I send invitations to people to use AIRBNB as guests and they acknowledge my invitation they will be on my list of referred guests. If they book from any AIRBNB host, I will be granted a travel coupon of $20 once they completed the trip. I think that is clear.

After talking with the representative and looking at what I have read I am still unclear of the way guests benefit by referrals. I have read in multiple places that in order for the guest to receive credit, it has to be their first time using AIRBNB. The representative told me it does not have to be their first time using AIRBNB. Also, I read the minimum fee for the booking has to be $75.00 not including fees or taxes. I was told by the representative it has to be $50.00 minimum fee. I am not sure what the guest receives as credit or coupon toward their booking. I was told $50 yet read $40 credit.

Can anyone truly clarify the referral system for me? I have only written to the community Center a few times when I first became a host and had a difficult time finding any replies to my questions. Hopefully I won't have a difficult time with this.

Thanks,

Cheryl from Blountville, TN

I had referred a few guests to stay about my place, and they paid over $75 for each stay.  But I never received the $20 that as a referral fee.  Not sure why and there is not other place to contact Airbnb for this answer.  Any info. on this is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kay

Once again, there was a time limit on when the referral credit could be filed. I have referred and assisted two friends in becoming hosts and never really thought about the referral until I saw that it had been significantly increased. When I called Airbnb I was told there was a year (?) to do this. What difference does it make as long as the new host confirms the referral? This time limit on benefits to hosts is rather disconcerting.......

I referred new hosts to Airbnb in early July and am still waiting to receive my referral fee of $360. I've called Airbnb numerous times only to be told that there is a "bug" in the referral program system and they cannot pay me until they fix it. They have no estimate of when this will be resolved. It is hard to understand how they cannot make a payment even if there is a problem with the system. In my case, I received notifications from Airbnb stating that I earned the fee and had been paid even though it has not shown up on my transaction history--not to mention my bank account. I'm starting to feel scammed...

Hi everyone, I'm also looking for clarification on the Host Referral Program.

If a host we refer FIRST booking (within the allowable timeframe) is less than $100* but have another booking (within the allowable timeframe) for more that $100,  we do NOT get the payout?  Please tell me I'm wrong.

To qualify for any payouts, the Referred Host’s first received booking must have a value (*excluding cleaning fees, taxes, and special offers) of at least $100 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency ). The Referred Host has 150 days from the date they are invited to Complete their first booking in order to earn the Payment.
