I've been a Host for over a year in South Florida and have received constant bookings and inquiries. My reviews are great, my pricing is competitive and all of a sudden, I'm completley dead for bookings and inquiries. Like totally dead! Is anyone else experiencing this problem and is there anything we can do to increase our bookings? Are other people down too? Has anyone learned anything from Airbnb?
Help.?!?

OK, Now we're getting somewhere. What's most likely occured is that you've dropped out of the geolocation synch, so read this:
A ton of competition, looks like, @Jeremy63. If you take a look around the forum, you will see this is an often-asked question, and the best answer seems to be that when you start out you get a boost in placement to get you going with ratings. Then others starting after you get that boost. There are lots of tricks for keeping your listing fresh, and maybe a bit higher in placement, so take a look for those. Hope those help. Your ratings are stellar, so you are doing the hosting right!
@Helen3 How do I report it to Airbnb? That's very serious. I sent them a message a few days ago and have heard nothing back.
You can call, tweet or facebook.
If anybody in this situation has done so and obtained a positive result, more bookings, I have not seem them post.
@David126 Thanks. So far AIRBNB has been totally unresponsive to my inquiry / request for help. They've basically ignored me.
@Helen3 How does one report this to AirBnB? We are in the same boat... we were doing great when we started and now suddenly completely dead. It seems illogical that AirBnB would just not list people at all. I have a friend in the area who has hosted for many years and has all 5 star reviews, and when I search her place it did not come up at all on AirBnB eventhough she is open for all the dates I tried. So, I know it is not just me... How to report this? I almost feel like AirBnB is scammy by boosting people when they start and giving the false impression that this will be the amount of business you will do. Because of the initial boost, we had to invest a lot of money to keep up with how busy it was... but the bookings/traffic suddenly stopped. We would like to at least break even on what we spent. AirBnB has given us a false impression.
Thanks @Lawrene0. Do you have suggestions or a link to resrouces on how to keep my listing fresh and at the top of the listings? Would love some pointers.
@Jeremy63 Are you showing up in search results? Try a blind test, and then a double blind test, for your listing with friends/family.
Report back. I may have a solution which I posted previously.
@Robert78 All of a sudden I'm not showing up in the listings at all. I logged out and put in
Dates that I know I'm open,
price range that I know I fall in
Ameneties that I know I provide.
NOTHING. No listing at all for me. WTF? This sucks

This is happening to us too. Also, I have noticed that no matter how I adjust the price, when I actually DO find our listing, AirBnB is listing it for way more than I am asking. Our house is a modest guesthouse, and I try to keep it reasonably priced for the market between $67-90. The last 2 times I have found it, the map listing shows it as $125 and $117. [link removed]?
I have no gauge for what works, @Jeremy63, which is why I copped out with "so take a look for those" :). Tweaking the description, swapping out photos, changing photo captions - those are the things I have seen advised.
Since I was so unhelpful before, I took a look for your place without signing in, and in a browser I seldom use. (Signed in, or in my default browser, search results always skew in favour of things viewed previously.) With both the Instant Book filter on and off, you do not appear in the first 17 pages of results. So that is a worry. If you do not have a Twitter account, I would set one up even just to deal with this. Tweet AirbnbHelp.
@Lawrene0 Yeah, let's wait for his feedback. I have a hunch about what may be going on for Jeremy and many other hosts in his situation...
