Terms of new host coupon on new listing?

Hi,

We had a coupon set on our new listings - the 20% off the first 3 bookings that AirBnB recommends. We have a guest who booked for February who says AirBnB told him he would get 20%, but did not when they charged him. Our memory is that the stay has to fall within 3 months of the listing going live, which in our case is early December. Can someone verify those terms? AirBnB does not show them anywhere now that they've been used up. We need to know so that we know what to tell the guest.

Thanks!

@Murray50

Your listings "Private Phinney Home" says:

"Special offer: 20% off this home
This host is offering a one-time deal to the first 3 guests who book a trip between now and Dec 02."

If valid booking for this: then 20% discount is clearly visible in the booking form as a calculated amount, so it can not be mistaken.

If guests book for february, offcourse no 20% discount will be given.

Please note: Your listing has no availibility until end of year, so nobody(!) can have the offer  !

best regards,

Emiel

The part that is unclear is whether the trip has to be before December 2nd or just the booking, so I understand the guest's confusion if it has to be a trip completed before the 2nd.

@Murray50  To me, the wording is clear. It says "who book a trip between now and Dec 02". Booking is different from arriving. When airline sites send notices of discounts, it always refers to the discount being applicable to when the booking is made, and for travel from xx-xx dates.
