AIR BNB sucks! I booked a place for 2 nights in Las Vegas to meet with a potential investor and perhaps set up a screening for our movie, THE LAST BROWN BERET. I followed ALL the instructions, was verified according to the Air BNB site, and then booked a place for Sunday and Monday night. I paid with my cc, and was emailed a billing receipt with a code. All seemed to be fine as of last night. Late last night, my reservation was canceled, and the money will be refunded to me in 5 days time. I spoke on the phone to an Air BNB representative who recognized the problem and suggested I rebook the place. I balked as that would mean that I would be charged for the place 2 times (until I get the actual amount credited to my cc, then it is the same as being charged twice for the same place), and would have to trust that Air BNB would credit my cc for the initial booking. I am an experiential type of person. If you burn me once, I am suspicious forever. I was already charged for a place and then the place was canceled through no fault of my own, nor was the host at fault. It was a glitch in Air BNB's system, and I am now out some money and no place to stay in LV. I must now, at the last second, postpone the meeting and potential screening. Who knows if I can ever get this investor's interest in our movie again. Wealthy people are not used to waiting on anything. So, screw you Air BNB. You are thieves, and your site is worthless in situations such as this one. I have been to the Air BNB page here on Facebook. Seems that they screw a lot of people out of their money and refuse to help rectify situations, such as what occurred to me. If anyone knows someone who works for Air BNB, have them message me. I am on the warpath and feel like posting and calling them every day, until this mess is rectified. Air BNB? Hardly. More like Air thieve and thieves.
