I have athat booked today and received a conformation e-mail.  She can not pull it up on her "my trips" and I have nothing on my end.  She said she also paid.

If you have no listing of a guest, and confirmation that they have paid, then you don't have a guest. 

It's either a scam or a problem with the platform - in any case it is up to the guest to contact AirBnB to find out if they have a booking or not.
