changing address

I have made some mistakes in my address and now cant change it - although the help section says you can if you follow the procedure, which I did.  I can't believe the only way to change the address is to do a new listing and start again - is there any other way??

No help from AirBNB sad to say.

Hello @Susan348,

Yes , the help section regarding editing your address is a little misleading. It doesn't list the limitations.

All you can is add information like apartment number.

Once a listing is accepted and published on the site you can't change information about the city name, street name, post code etc.

It's a security feature to prevent unscrupulous hosts falsely registering their listing as being in a very desirable location and then changing the address later.

When you say "No help from Airbnb sad to say" is it that they refused to make the change or that you didn't get a response from them?

If it's no respponse try all the methods at this link

If they refused to make the change then

you could leave the address as it is, provided you're happy that people willl find your listing in searches, but give them the exact address in communications AFTER they've booked.

You could remove your listing, as described bleow, and place a new one. I'm not sure what happens to your reviews in that case. Do they carry over with you as you're the host of the new listing too?

I had this problem with the address of my listing also. After some searching I could contact Airbnb and they made the change. I think it's only possible to change the address through Airbnb. I do not remember how I contacted them, but I think it was the help center by voice

thank you for this comprehensive answer and I can see the argument for not being able to change the address once it is listed.  Thank you for taking the time.

I make mistake about the address and now I cannot change my villa address so someone can help?

I was informed by a guest that my address on the Airbnb website and his email confirmation are different. I've written to the Help Center twice to ask them to make the appropriate changes but haven't received a response.  A reply, even if it's a no-can-do, would be appreciated. The worst is being totally ignored.  It looks like Steve143's suggestion is the only way to go.
