how d I report a harassing guest and get them blocked?

There is a crazy woman on here named *** who is sending me nasty texts, phone calls and messages.    How do I get her blocked from my page?

@Adele10 Assuming that she's sending the "nasty texts" via AirBnB's messaging system, you can flag those texts and report them to AirBnB. If she's sending you standard phone SMS texts, or calling you, then that means she's either a previous guest (who was given your number by AirBnB) or that you gave her your number. In the latter case, there's littl you can do other than use your phone's number-blocking ability. In the former case, you should both block the number AND contact AirBnB to report the issue.

To contact AirBnB:  Contact Airbnb

How do you get them flagged?

When you get a message through the airbnb system there is a flag you can press which reports the user

where is that flag located?

Hi @Helen83,

In order to flag a message that is inappropriate or agressive, you need to open the message and click on the flag, as shown below:

If you want to report a listing, as it is inappropriate or fake, you click on the flag on the listing, as below:

I hope that helps!

And what will happen then? I am seriously concerned about these people harassing me. They now somehow found out my address from the AIRBNB site. How can this possibly happen?

I recently had a guest who booked, stayed, and left with no issues.  I gave her a great review.

A good month after she stayed, she contacted me, apparently looking for a fight.  She insisted that I take the review off immediately even though it was 100% positive.  Apparently, I cannot remove it now as it has been over 48 hours since she stayed.  Also, she was upset that we have a cleaning fee.   This information is clearly stated on the listing and no one has ever had a problem with it.

She also was quite angry and wanted my take on the fact that a photo ID is required to book through Airbnb.

I told her, sorry, but, this was an Airbnb requirement and she went off on me, saying that if I didn't stop bothering her, she

would say something nasty about me.  (?)  She wanted to know why I didn't make the review more personal (again--?) and why I didn't call her but her phone number is blocked.  It all went downhill fast and she was clearly quite angry.  Thoughts?

I was concerned that she would review my property and her experience with me in an unfairly negative way.  I couldn't do a thing to make things right for her and I would like to flag this guest so others can be aware of her issues and potential for making problems where there are none.

Laura - it's much easier if you make your own post rather than piggy backing on someone else's -as it causes confusion with people responding on the same thread to different questions.

1. If someone stayed a month ago they can't leave a review

2. If she contacted you through BnB messaging - flag this with BnB and they will see the guest is being abusive and hopefully cancel her membership

3. If she is calling block her number and report her to BnB

4. It's not a requirement of BnB to have photo ID but hosts can elect to have verified ID which includes photo ID (a sensible move)
