what should I charge?.  30 percent of gross?  or 1/2 of first day?  What are people doing?

What do you mean. Do you mean setting a up a listing or managing one.

If the former give them a one off rate depending on the work involved.

If as a co-host what you will charge depends on what services you offer, price of listings, amount of bookings etc.
