unfair review

A guest made a point to deduct TWO points for bathroom cleanliness. I have asked politely what the issue was as i had just cleaned it thoroughly and I expect 5 star reviews. No answer. I message him. Emailed him and responded on the review itself. I understand i have no other recourse and nothing can be changed, even by him at this point as it was last week but I am SOOOO frustrated they didn't just SAY something! My guess is they were bothered by the outdated BUT CLEAN appearance. There were photos so no surprises. I'm letting this bother me more than it needs to because it is our first month hosting and i want that Superhost status sooner than later. Do guests still get messages even after their stay? They don't see the RESPONSE??? Any recourse??

@Brook19  Yes, you can contact any guest who you've had a message stream with at any time in the future. Whether they pay attention to it or not is a different story.

@Brook19   I know it can be hard, annoying and upsetting when you get a poor review, especially after putting in so much work to make everything perfect for the guest. Unfortunately it's the cost of doing business. Try not to take it personally. You will have guests who have different expectations, or who do not understand what Airbnb is all about and are expecting hotel like accommodations. Just keep doing what you are doing, and continue to work for those 5 stars!  🐵 All the best!
