2nd bedroom - air mattress

Hello,

I have listed and successfully hosted my place on AirBnb.  The issue that I have is that my house is considered a 2 bedroom house but I have been using an air mattress in the second bedroom when guests stay.  The air mattress is listed in the bed details as well as pictured in the photos.  Right now, I have my listing title as "2 bd"  but when people come to stay they seem surprised when I tell them at the second bedroom has an air mattress.  What should I do to fix this?

Hi @Jennifer140, You have 5 stars for accuracy, so even though some guests are surprised, they are not giving low ratings which is great!  The listing is clear that the bed is an air mattress, but as we know many guests do not read the details.  You could add some captions to the photos to make it clear which pictures are the second bedroom.  Longer term, you may consider buying a queen mattress so that you can increase your prices a bit.  In the short term, I recommend investing in a high quality pillowsoft mattress cover for the air mattress to improve the guest experience.  Finally, when you have an inquiry for more than 2 guests, just let them know that the second bed is an air mattress. Best to do this before they book, but soon after booking is ok since they can cancel if they are really unhappy and you are not misrepresenting the accommodations.
