Many guests ask for the address - once they've booked.
It is not uncommon for people new to AirBNB.
Please make the hosts address clearer once they've booked.
Thank you.
You can send your address with a welcome message 1 or 2 days before guests check in.
I should not NEED to. Airbnb seems to be obfuscating their interface for guests to simply extract the hosts address.
We had over 100 guests (maybe 30% new to AirBnB) and noone had this problem. The address is usually sent by email when they book and a few days before checking in. It's also on the front page of the booking and clearly marked. It's weird they cannot find it.
What can I say, in my experience, either they are perhaps viewing the phone app in not their first language or something. But of late, some new guests seem to cannot find the address ABB gives them.
I think using exact address on airbnb is not the best idea for a host. Especially do not leave check-in information on your airbnb. Always keep in mind there is a possibility that your account could be hacked into or the guest you have booked your apartment is a problematic guest and you may even have to call in airbnb and cancel them before they check-in. The moment they book, if you have left all the details of home, the guests have access to it. I know these situations can be very rare but while you are hosting, you have the responsibility to ensure you are doing this not jeopradizing your neighborhood or other residents in the community. Also, this is especially not a good idea in cities where laws are strict. I talk to my guests thoroughly and screen them during the booking process. If they instant book, I instantly call them and follow up with our conversation on airbnb platform. I like to disclose my exact address only after the guest books and when I send it with the welcome note.
The registered address is sent automatically to the guest's email when their reservation is confirmed (paid for) - it is also shown in the guest's itinerary. Not sure how much more "clearer" it can get than this.
In my case, I host mostly international guests and especially for people visiting Korea for the 1st time, my address (in English) will not be enough for them to find my home. So I have separate instructions which detail how to get to my home from the airport/subway station and an image file with a short message & my address (in Korean) and cell # that guests can show taxi drivers or passer-bys for help if necessary. (I tell my guests to download the image on their phones - so they can get to it without wifi/internet access)
Even you have sent them the address, some guest still need direction guide to find your home. It is host's responsibility to provide direction guide to their guest. Most of all, we are not hotel who has a big adv board hanging outside of our property, or appears exactly on the Google Map as we don't have registered business name.
Your response is entire irellevant. I know all of this.
I am stating that it is REDUNDANT for the host to resend the address --even if it's the pragmatic thing to do. My point is that Airbnb sometimes don't seem to make things clear, like when selecting daltes for booking. Is the second date the checkout date or the date of the last night?
The fact is that ABB but the address of the receipt or invoice, but for whatever reason it is not clear enough
