Anyone have information about the Permits Required to Airbnb in Montreal

I'm looking to possibly purchase a property in Montreal, but have read that a permit is required to make this legal.

 

I've gone through all the government websites I could find, talked to real estate agents in the area, etc.

 

With limited French, I'm having difficulty contacting and finding the right department.

 

Anyone able to help?

Unless your building in the commercial zone! It’s  impossible to obtain a permit. I invested into Montreal around $2M before talking to the city and Citq officials then  I made my investment accordingly... They closed all the doors  (City of Montreal) to not to issue the certification, which a must in order to get the license from CITQ. So make the long story short! City officials are all bought by the “Hotel Lobbly”. And they don’t give a **bleep** people like you nor me! 😕
