Hi Airbnb hosts!
My name is Aaron, and yesterday I had my first Airbnb guest. I come from the couchsurfing.com community, so I have a lot of experience hosting and being a guest, but charging for it is a whole new game.
The challenge is that I live in Renton, WA, just outside seattle. There is public transportation to get into the city but it's no easy. I want to list my place as a great friendly budget option that is near the airport.
My question is, should I set up a regular room and charge a low rate of around $50 a night, or put in 2 bunk beds (4 beds total) and each bed charge $25 a night. I'm not sure what would work out better because it seems like most options on the cheaper side are private rooms, and there aren't a lot of shared rooms.
Let me know your thoughts, and which direction you would recommend!
Best,
