Not sure why, but when I first listed, my apartments were getting booked right away. Now, it seems the bookings have dried up, even though we are into our busy ski season. Can anyone please explain why? Every guest stay has been successful with no complaints.
When you list for the first time, @Michelle-and-Ray0, you get extra boosting because you're promoted as a new listing. Then, other parameters of the search algorithm start applying, like whether you have Instant Book on, for instance.
I have instant booking on. What else can I do to bump it up?
Check your competition to find if your prices are competitive.
How are your photos and how is your place presented ? Play around with your lead photo to see which one works best. You might consider professional photos.
How are your statistics - many views and no bookings might indicate that your prices are not competitive.
Hello @Michelle-and-Ray0,
I usually consider two important points:
1.- Am I receiving visitors but nobody booking?
2.- Or is my listing not showing at all?
For the first, I would review the whole listing, going from the information written to the prices. Sometimes going 2/3 euros lower might do the trick.
As for the second point, I just call Airbnb to let them know and it also helps because they can refresh the algorithm.
Patient and faith are also key here 😉
