Calendar linking didn't prevent a double booking error

I have today had a double booking on my property even though all the different listings for this property (there are 3) are supposed to be linked and this should avoid this problem. Has anyone else had this problem and what can be done about it?

Linking Airbnb calendars works only if one of your linked units are booked on Airbnb. If you block dates on one unit manually by yourself then other units will not block automaticly, in that case you have to block all of them manually.

The same is with unblocking. I am not sure for cancellations .

I did not block any dates manually. It was an error within the Airbnb booking software that allowed two bookings on different but linked listings via "instant book".
