Can I cancel a reservation if I use Partial payment option

Hello, 

I want to reserve an apartment for 4 people but I can't pay full price now because not all parties have confirmed with me. So I want to pay partial price now and the rest later and the host refund policy says that I can get full refund before 19 August.

My question is that if I pay partial price now and cancel before 19 August will I get full refund for the partial amount that I paid?

Yes, but this is all subject to Airbnb’s requirements for the partial payment amounts and schedule to pay the rest. However, as long as you cancel within the free cancellation period, you should get back everything you paid.

One thing you can do after you book to be sure you understand what will be refunded is to “pretend” to initiate a cancellation online. It will give you a breakdown of everything you have paid, and what your refund will be. Then, when you are satisfied that you understand, you can “cancel the cancellation” before it finalizes.
