We recently had a guest who left several items--mostly junk and trash, but that's another story. We did set aside a full load of laundry found in the dryer, some Yeti cups, and what appeared to be an old cell phone in an Otter box case, and one pair of sandals. All of these items were in such rough shape we questioned if they meant to just leave them. The phone is shattered on the face and doesn't come on so we honestly thought it may have been given to a child to play with. A few days after leaving she contacts me saying "she wishes they had more time to clean up" (me too!!!!) and they left a $1000.00 phone. I responded and said they left several items and I would be happy to ship them to her either COD or I will find out the cost and she can send it via Airbnb--just let me know her preference. She then states she doesn't have the money for that and she will just pick them up. I then asked "are you local?" I ask this because she previously stated the was "out of state" . There were a lot of questionable things with this stay! She did not answer so I just messaged her when she was ready to make arrangements to get her items please message me. I have heard NOTHING else from her.
My question--how long am I obligated to hold this stuff if I don't hear from her?
Thanks,
Kim
