Cash advances for hosts?!?

In my Facebook newsfeed this morning was a ad for "Payfully," a company that pays in advance for Airbnb bookings.

"Not associated to airbnb.com" it says, and it charges "from $15 to $45 for every $500 we advance." Has access to your airbnb account and your bank account.

Always best to be leery of any sort of payday advance.

Thanks for posting this. @Karen77. Interesting!

I'm not meaning to send them any business!!   I just found the business a curious niche to fill.

Hi Karen,

I have no direct association with Payfully - other than using the service - and am a very active Airbnb host - have hosted over 200 nights and 500 individual guests in the last year and I too was very skeptical about Payfully!

But I have used them several times for advances and I love the service. They are very legit and responsive and I have nothing but good things to say about the company. It's a great idea and while they are not perfect, based on my experience they are figuring it out quickly and are legit.

Thanks Rick for sharing your positive experience, and assuring us they are legit. And thanks Karen for your question. I just received and email from Payfully, and explored their website, and spoke live to one of their people, about the fees for this serve they offer. And I was also looking for validation that they are legit, and I easily found it here from a Level 2 Airbnb Host with experience with them. So, again much appreciated for you two, and having this community board for such things.

It's legit - they've got thousands of hosts using it across the US. They charge a percentage based fee, but it's not a loan so there's no interest on the advanced money.
