Guest forgot to use her giftcard--how to apply without penalty for either of us?

I have a terrific guest that I approved for a return stay in September. She just let me know that she forgot to use an Airbnb giftcard when she made the reservation.

How can she do that without losing her deposit (I have a strict cancellation policy) or me getting a demerit by cancelling as a  Host?

@Judith-and-Gwenn0 Don't cancel!! Have your guest contact Airbnb to see if the gift card can still be applied. She can call the number listed on her itinerary or go to twitter @airbnbhelp.  I see this sort of thing all the time on twitter. Good luck to you and your guest!
