Sorry - meant to post this info from Christine for your info regarding the resolution center:
Here is a link and explanation to help understand the things which can be done via the resolution Centre.
"What is the Resolution Centre?
The Resolution Centre lets you request or send money for things related to your Airbnb trip.
To open a refund or payment request, go towww.airbnb.com/resolutions, and select the reservation that you wish to address. For example you can use the resolution centre to request that your guest accept a refund, or partial refund, or make payment to reimburse you for something.
You have up to 60 days after your reservation's checkout date to submit a Resolution Centre request."
The use of the resolution centre is not just for "Disputes' it can just be because you want to bill a guest for extra services or guest numbers etc, or you wish to offer a thank you or refund for some reason. So guests or hosts can ask the other person to accept an offer that they wish to make. the other party may reject your offer of a refund and the matter is then over, unless you wanted to try harder to get them to accept your refundand ask Airbnb to intervene.
"Asking for help from Airbnb"
If you’re unable to reach an agreement, you can ask Airbnb to make the final decision 72 hours after the request was opened. To involve Airbnb:
Wait 72 hours after you open the request
Go to www.airbnb.com/resolutions
Select the correct reservation
Click Involve Airbnb
When you involve Airbnb, our team will be notified and a dedicated team member will be assigned to your case. They’ll review the information provided by you and your host or guest, before making a final decision. In some cases, we may need to contact you to gather additional information, before we can make a decision."
Thanks, Roger
