Happy New Year 2019!

I want to take a moment to wish you all a very Happy New Year 2019! May this be the best year ever and may our small businesses prosper! 

Kevin and I are having a little wine and I'm cooking a big pot of hog jowl and black-eyed peas, southern style. If I'm up at midnight, I'll go around the house and beat pots and pans together to scare spectres out of their hiding places - another southern tradition. 

I doubt I'll be up, as I teach English online and have to wake up at 3:00, so! haha We will eat our soup in the morning and also celebrate Kevin's Korean traditions by watching the sun come up and eating rice cake soup.

I'm thankful for this community and appreciate each and every one of you! Thank you for your contributions and may peace and blessings follow you in this new year!

Henry cooked 떡만두국 for brunch (more like lunch) since I'm not much of a morning person 🙂 

Rice cakes in my bowl and meat dumplings for Henry. Henry's not a fan of rice cakes. 

It's 11pm Jan 1st 2019 here in Korea now.......... good night~!!!

Happy New Year!

I spent it watching a David Bowie tribute band and dancing like a loon. I probably had a few too many glasses of prosecco, but remembered to buy toilet paper on the way home, good host that I am.

Your post is making me very hungry now.
