Hosting a guest

has anyone else started to accept new bookings when they are a live in host?

I have a new booking request for 2 weeks from a lady from France she will need to quarantine for 2 weeks.

Hi @Paul75 If the guest is really planning to use your place to quarantine this would, if its a shared home, be technically illegal so you really should ask them to rescind the request (rather than have you reject their request).

@Mike-And-Jane0thanks for your response where do you read it would be illegal ? to have someone stay in a shared home? Looking at the BBC website it says you can just they have to self isolate in a room https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/explainers-52544307

Government rules are here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-how-to-self-isolate-when-you-travel-...

@Paul75 I read the Government advice - I just don't see how someone could live in a room (even if it has an en-suite and survive for 14 days without contact with other people or other people's spaces. The only way it could work is if you were willing to provide room service.......

She has canceled anyway however the AirBNB system has ScRED me over.  I have a strict cancellation policy however due to my goodwill I choose to give her a  refund her.

The full refund amount showing was 117.80 however when I try to submit that I got this error:

The specified refund amount (132.87) is greater than the available guest cancellation refund (132.86) in

currency EUR.

So refunded the amount to 117 and submitted it now I can see that up coming payments is showing -£29.61 !!! as far as I can see £117 is equal to 130.64 Euros
