I had a guest who confirmed the minute I went public before being able to adjust my options

Hi,

I created my account about an hour ago and the minute I went public I had someone want to rent my property for 23 days whcih I was thrilled at how fast something happened. I was not able to access the options to include cleaning fee of $30 and the fee above 2 guests first. I waited before accepting her request and noticed my price was lowered for at $83-87/day x 23 days. I pre-approved the customer as the total was about $2000, which I agreed to. But she messaged me with rage as the listing price jumped and she feels mislead as the price hit $2400 for her stay she doesn't want to be apart of. I had 3 in total guests inquire about my property tonight, with one instant booked a few days from now. I am new to this and want to try to satisfy this guest as the price changed as a shock to me as I saw the price on the side that I agreed to, but it changed and dissappointed this customer. Is there anything I can do? And should I take off the fluctiating price setting as that might have changed it since I had other people interested in the property?

Are you saying someone else already booked a portion of her initial request?  If so, I think all you can do is offer her an apology and try to explain what happened.

However, if all of the dates in her original request are still available - maybe consider honoring the original price?  It's a lot of money, so I can see how it would be easy for them to get angry quickly, even if you weren't really at fault for anything. Things like this will happen from time to time, especially if you are fortunate enough to have your property remain so in demand.  I'd chalk it up to a learning experience as a host, an investment in good karma, and and offer the booking to her again at the original price.  If you cut people slack like that, you will make plenty of money as a host and feel good doing it!
