How to handle an incoming guest with no info not even a
photo?
I have it as a condition of my listing that only guests with a clear profile photo, who provide information about themselves and the purpose of their visit can stay with me.
Why not contact the guest and ask them to upload a photo/provide information?
@Michelle1128, I agree with @Helen3. I like to see verifications on the guest's profile as well as some information filled in. When I receive a request with none of this and see they are new, I welcome them to Airbnb and explain that almost all hosts will require this information, asking them to fill in their profile information and complete a few verifications.
Most of them have understood and complied, allowing me to complete the booking and the stays were successful. In the future, I would not be afraid to say no to guests you have doubts about and who do not have the necessary information you require.
Kindly ask your guests to upload a pic and government ID.
Most guests willing comply
If they don't upload pic, explain that you will ask for ID before entry.
(Much more easy to upload pic, then to depend on timing of host coming to let guest in)
Ask them to complete "airbnb.com/verify".
