Looks awesome but we're not meeting the requirements in spite of having all the boxes ticked. It doesn't matter, I'm not really fussed, just think it's kind of ridiculous - at least one of those boxes should have been unticked to justify their decision, one would think. 😕

Me too. It is annoying. The second time they have done this.
@Karen-and-Brian0 Airbnb Help says you have to have: 'Received a 5-star review at least 80% of the time you’ve been reviewed, as long as at least HALF of the guests who stayed with you left a review'. So enough of your guests have left a review.
So Airbnb seem to have made a mistake somewhere else.

@Karen-and-Brian0 @Jim99..... Look you guys, we are being so brainwashed into thinking that anything less than ' Superhost' status is unacceptable!!
You hosts and Cassandra, and thousands like you, you are the essence of hosting.....You put so much into what you do, you do not need this badge to be successful....... you already are! You are providing that experience that people who come to Airbnb desire!
If anything having Superhost status puts more pressure on you because potential guests will expect more from you than the norm....they expect something 'special'!!!!
Please guys, forget about all this superhost and star rating bulldust and just get on with what you obviously do so well. From your reviews you are all wonderful hosts, and hosts that I would stay with in a heartbeat!......You all have a commitment to what you do that no amount of publicity nonsense on the part of Airbnb will 'out gun'!

@Karen-and-Brian0 @Jim99 First I agree with @Robin4 and others that Superhost is primarily an incentive program to encourage the behaviors AirBNB desires in a host. On the bright side you get most of the benefits of Superhost by just meeting the criteria. The badge itself has little impact on inquiries/performance.
You also might have been in the same situation I was where it looked like I was not Qualified even though I met all criteria. But I got notified I made it today! Perhaps you did as well! Let us know!

But as you would say, just leave it in the background and continue to be the person, and the host that you are!!

Karen, this happened to me as well. No idea why. All my boxes are green and I hosted 41 trips. 35 reviews. All good. Then I get the "you don't meet the standard" message. = S
@Jodie11......Yeah, I have looked at your reviews and they all look really positive. I, of course, can't see your 'stats' but many guests will give you a 5 star overall but, will ping you in individual star ratings and if your individual star ratings are below a pre-set level that badge will allude you! I can't see any other reason why you have not received it.
Don't get to upset about it though, you are doing a great job Jodie and I do feel that in the long run it is the reviews which will determine how successful you are, not whether you have a 'badge' or not. More than half of my bookings are coming from guests who have said...."We will be in the area for ********* and for Jim and I, airbrushed pictures don't mean much, but after seeing your reviews we would like to stay with you"!
Jodie, stick with what you are doing....everyone who visits you feels better when they leave than when they arrived....and isn't that the most important thing??
