Looks awesome but we're not meeting the requirements in spite of having all the boxes ticked. It doesn't matter, I'm not really fussed, just think it's kind of ridiculous - at least one of those boxes should have been unticked to justify their decision, one would think. 😕

who cares. ...why do you have to have "superhost superhero" status?
@Karen-and-Brian0: While I agree with @Dee9, I am intrigued by the numbers you have shared. Could the change possibly be because there are only 8 reviews for the 10 completed trips? Or perhaps your 10th trip was right around October 1?
Is there an actual number we can call and get help? I am new and attempted to reply to someone who inquired and I got an email scolding me for it responding. I did respond. I have searched for a customer service number. Can't find one. How do you receive help from this site of the questions on the help section do not apply. Frustrated new lister.
@Jenny130.....Yes Jenny there are numbers you can call and those numbers are....
United States (USA) +1-415-800-5959 (local San Francisco number)
or +1-855-424-7262 / 1-855-4-AIRBNB (toll-free)
You can find this information plus much more by logging a question you may have into the 'Search for Anything' box at the top of this page....Good luck....cheers.....Rob
@Karen-and-Will0 @Raffaele-and-Astrid0 Thanks for your thoughts! I suppose it could be that we only have 8 reviews - but does it say anywhere that you need X number of reviews? I sure can't find it if so. We aren't disappointed and don't really care, but I'm really just questioning this process. We shouldn't have all the little boxes ticked in green if something is missing. THAT I could understand, this, not so much. 🙂
in the Help section you can find every answer to your questions:
https://www.airbnb.com.au/help/article/829/how-do-i-become-a-superhost
....anyway, try to contact airbnb, probably is just an error from the system.
they check millions of account in 14 days. 😄
good luck
Cheers Raf
I think is because you have only 8 ratings and not 10.
you have to ask at your guests each time to write the review and do the rating.
but does'nt matter becuase anyway you did a great job! keep going! 🙂
Cheers Raf
@Raffaele-and-Astrid0.....I don't know that that is the answer guys! I have only hosted with Airbnb for 6 months of this year and have only just started taking bookings again. According to our stats we have hosted 8 completed trips for this year and yet we have just been awarded a continuance of our 'Badge'!
I was emailed that a review of my status would take place on the 14th Oct and when I logged onto my listing on the 13th I noticed that the Superhost tag had been removed on that day. I sort of expected it because we have been hosting in other directions but last night just before midnight I received a congratulatory email with travel credits and informing me my Superhost status is continuing and has been continous for the past twelve months.
I do know that you have to have 10 reviews before you can become elligile for Superhost but I don't know how many are required to actually retain it over the quarterly assessment periods!!
Cheers....Rob
Hi @Robin4
in the Help section you can find every answer to your questions:
https://www.airbnb.com.au/help/article/829/how-do-i-become-a-superhost
@Raffaele-and-Astrid0....Yeah, well aware of all that but, as I said I have retained superhost status without meeting those requirements! Namely I did not host 10 trips this year!!!
I come back to my original statement....It takes the requirements you have stated to 'attain' superhost but, once you have it I don't know what the requirements are to keep it.....short of cancelling a confirmed guests booking!!!
Cheers.....Rob
Hi @Robin4
for keep the staus the rules are the same: 10 trips completed in the last year with all green..ect...
now, I saw your review and from Janaury 2016 till October 2016 you had 7 guest, so I presume that from October 2015 till October 2016 you had more than 10 guests...
so, this how you keep having your badge. 🙂
I can't see the date of the other guests, but you just double check in your "Stats page" I think that you have more than 10 trips completed. 😉
Like this:
Just yesterday to me showed 44 trips completed, now 39 because the next assestement start form January 2016 till January 2017, so cut off the other 5 trips that I had between October 2015 till January 2016.
let me know what you see. 🙂
Cheers Raf
@Raffaele-and-Astrid0 Yeah I see what you mean Raff....I just expected to lose it and was surprised that I still have it.
But this whole star rating and superhost stuff is just bulldust. The sooner we can get away from this system and just rate guests and hosts with a simple thumbs up or a thumbs down and let the reviews speak for themselves, the better.
I am finding most of my booking requests are coming based on my reviews, not because of the 'Superhost bit' ! I work bloody hard at getting my reviews and whoever reads them says they are the envy of the industry.
So as far as that coverted 'superhost' is concerned I don't really care....I host to a standard, not to a badge!!!
Thanks Raff for your input....you can never know too much in this game....cheers mate.....Rob
I think most of the host just get obsessed or over value the badge or miss understand the real value of the badge, and if they don't get, looks like hate who get it. that's weird. 😕
the badge is just a way for saying: ehy man you did a great job, and we recognise your effort, that's it.
the superhost status, is just a thing that you get if you always stay above your standard, the guests notice that and rate you according to the expierence that you give to them, is just something that become naturally, we don't get crazy for get the badge, we just received every time. 😄
I would like to suggest to all hosts, just do your thing, nice and proper, and the badge will come by itself.
If you recieve a complaint, not complaint about the complaint, take the complaint and fix it. next time this kind of complaint won't come again.
in the beginnig we did some minor mistake, we get low rating, and we tried to understand why, and we fixed for the next guest. that's it.
superhost not change who you are, but give some really nice gifts and service. 😄 i like be a superhost! why not? 😄
good night y'all.
