@Helen3 I'm actually surprised that Airbnb wouldn't want this feature to be regular policy- that guests can't see a host's personal info until the 48 hour cancellation period is over. Allowing that personal info to be available opens the door to guests and hosts making private deals, then the guest cancelling within the 48 hour period. While most hosts wouldn't be into this, I have no doubt that there are some who would be. I.e. the host says sure, I'll charge you 5% on top of my price instead of the 12% Airbnb is charging you. Host gets more, also avoiding the 3% service charge, guest pays less.
