Price paid by guest is less than advertised

Hi, I am new to airbnb and have set the price for $50/night for my private room. I have since received my first reservation request for $49. My question is why am I receiving $49 for booking instead of $50?

The price you see is after Airbnb takes its share, 3% and is also the average over the stay. So, if, for example, you set 10% as a discount for a week stay, then it will be 7*50=350 less 10% = $315 less 3% = $305 then  divided by 7=  $44 per night. 🙂
