I just received a reservation request by someone who has been a member for 4 years. But he doesn't have any feedback, and he only has 2 verifications (phone and email). The link to his profile is https://www.airbnb.com/users/show/2462500 (I hope it will show up).
What are your thougths about accepting this request ?
If you're open to hosting him, tell him your hesitations and ask him to provide more verifications. Any reasonable person would understand and comply.
He was also asking for my address a day ahead of time so he could tell uber and a taxi driver ?
Sounds like you're uneasy about this fellow. You're not obligated to host him.
He doesn't need that now. He will get it as soon as his reservation is confirmed. Airbnb purposely does not share sensitive information at this stage and neither should you, for your own well being.
Hello Kirsten
Personally I have my settings for all guests to be fully verified - so they need to provide some photo ID.
I quite often receive requests from people who have been members for some time before they book.
I would treat him like any other potential guest - ask him more about himself, his plans for his visit and why he chose your property - this will give you a better idea about him and whether there is a good fit.
Best Helen
At least he has a photo, and not of a dog.
You can ask him to upload a Government Issued ID onto his profile.
