Hi guys,

I'm new to AirBnB and just received my first booking. The booking is from a female account, but the person writing intoduces as the females husband. At first, he said they will both be arriving, but now, with just a few days left before arrival, he writes (from the same female account), that he will be arriving alone. Seems a bit dodgy to me and I don't feel comfortable about it since I'll have to be at work and won't be able to keep an eye on the guest. Don't want to ruin my stats right from the beginning though. Any advice?

Contact Airbnb - if the account holder doesn't check in this can be seen as a 3rd party reservation. Explain to Airbnb and show them the messages as proof. Ask Airbnb to cancel for you. Good luck~

" Airbnb does not allow 3rd party bookings"

Ask him to cancel and resubmit his proper request or to cancel.

Thank him for his understanding

DO NOT LET HIM IN YOU DOOR.

Your first Airbnb guest should be a good experience. Have patience and let it come correctly

Your guest doesn't need to cancel if you're willing to take him anyway, but solve it together with Airbnb.

Or you can tell him to call the Airbnb no. on the booking confirmation to have the booking transferred to his account which he will have to register.
