I am still a new host but take thing so personal. I know (I hope) this will wear off, but doubt it will. So what happened is this - had a wonderful woman reserve with 2 friends for a 2 night stay. She had been visiting the area before but her friends were from another state. It was to be a girls weekend away sort of thing. I checked out her profile and she had high marks...seemed super friendly...fun, etc. Was really looking forward to her stay. Well, they got here just fine but did not park where instructed. We have instructed because we have a dog and prefer our guests park closer to the house to avoid any possible step in poop accidents. So we explained that to them. They laughed. Said they would be fine and left their car parked where it was. They all came in and seemed to love the house. A good sign. Dressed and headed out for evening plans. They got back ...not too late... fairly snockered by cab and continued to party in the outdoor living area. No problem. That's what it is there for. Even have a fridge for the beer they brought. Next day, they are packed and leaving because "the girls" wanted to be on the beach. It kind of took me by surprise but hey...it's their money! Then, after their stay, and after I communicated with the guest that reserved (she blamed her friends for wanting to be on the beach) to which she said everything was fine...1) she give me a 4 star and one phrase review and 2) I hear from the bartender that the "girls" were talking about how redneck a comment about stepping in dog poop was; and why they only had bedrooms and not the whole house, etc. Just wanted to share. Can't always read a person I guess. But when you talk smack in a small town, it's gonna get back to you!
