I am a new host and I am having trouble adding taxes to my rate, if a customer is going to pay through the system It wont allow me to add the state sales tax and the new added occupancy tax, when reporting I have to show these as line items. Is there a way that such taxes can be added within this system?

No, there isn't. Isn't that crazy that a $20 Billion company can't allow us to select a percentage to be added for state/local taxes?

I collect the taxes in cash when guests arrive (and keep Square as a backup payment method). Even if I wanted to add the taxes into their Airbnb total, Airbnb will increase their "fee", so the tax amount is never quite right. It violates my sense of fairness that Airbnb should profit on the guest paying a required tax.
