When you get a new booking do you contact the guest to acknowledge the reservation? For example: do you send a thank you, or look forward to hosting you message?
If you do acknowledge the reservation how long after do you contact the guest?
Also if you do not acknowledge the reservation - why?
Like Susan says, there's a 'black hole' worry from guests, especially from those who are new to Airbnb, so the first message is probably the most important 'settler'.
Yes!!! This true and also factor in bad experiences. I had a host cancel because they got evicted. One cancel because she said the price was wrong and tried to talk me into paying more.
So confirmation is really important and it does put guest at ease.
@Lisa1831I have to admit I would never an instant book. I like to read the full description, look closely the location and reviews and then I contact the host with some question just to see how much time he needs to answer and how does it sound. If everything is OK then I will book.
I wonder why they don't do the same If they have a "black hole" fear.
