Our house is availble for airbnb twice a year while we are away! how do i close the bookings after certain dates in the future - eg - i want to close all bookings after end of october until the next time - whenever that my be?????

I don't know when you want to open your listing again. In my opinion, you should unlisted your listing untill it's ready. Follow these steps below:

Step 1 & 2: Hit the "Host" button in menu bar & click "Manage listings"

Step 3: Click the "title" of you listing

Step 04: Scroll down and you will see "Listing status" and you can click "EDIT" button.

Step 05: Click "Unlist" and choose one of many required answers you see. Then your listing have already off.

Another option you can use is to go to your availability options and choose the all blocked by default. That way you only have to unblock the days you wish to open up for booking.

This choice would still leave your listing visible on the site to look at or to contact you as host, while unlisting an accommodation means it can't be found at all on the site until re-listed.
