number of guests

I'm a superhost and don't know what to do if number of guests exceeds house capacity. I manage other's people properties and the ONLY request they made is to respect the house capacity...

Cancelling reservation will stop my superhost benefits... and not cancelling it will finish my contract with house owner...What do you suggest to do? Desperate!

@Lina206 dont be desperate 🙂 best thing to do is set up a camera on the entrance ( of course let them now there is one ) and tell them if they exceed the number of guests on the reservation, their reservation will be terminated at that same moment with no refund.

@Lina206, I agree with @Ana1136. We have an external camera and can see if there are more guests than scheduled, animals, people smoking (unless they go out of range of course), etc. It's very helpful.

@Lina0 - first of all, if you are the co-host, and set up as the co-host properly, then cancelling a reservation on behalf of the host does not affect your Superhost status. You should read up on these nuances.  Second, a "maximum" is inherently a house rule.  If the house capacity is 6 and 8 show up, they are in violation and you can reach out to Airbnb to have the guest's reservation cancelled for breaking the house rules (don't do it yourself - call Airbnb!).  Third, add a line to your house rules that states that guests not identified on the reservation will be charged an additional fee (this covers a group who book for 4 but show up under the maximum with 6).
