Hi everyone,
Exotic, tropical, distant, cold... each is unique, and there are tons of them to discover worldwide. I thought this would be a wonderful theme for our next game, so this week I’d like to take you on a tour of some islands! 🏝
There are 35 islands from all over the globe in the crossword grid below, can you identify them all?
To ensure everyone has a chance to participate, try to post only one answer or word at a time; I will update the updated game grid regularly.
I would love to know as well if you’ve had the opportunity to visit any of these islands -let us know below! 🛳 🛩
Have fun,
Quincy

Yay @Huma0! I've put this one in as Majorca 😃. Lovely! I've never been there, but one of my colleagues told me it's very nice over there 😊.
I went there on a tennis holiday years ago. We were on court for six hours a day, so not much time to do sightseeing. I only saw the local area, but it was nice enough. It was 'muy caliente' though, especially when you are playing tennis in the blazing sun, but I didn't mind that.
15 across is Long Island. I'm familiar with Long Island Iced Tea, but have never actually been to Long Island, although I have been to New York.
I also know a couple more, but waiting for more folks to jump in.
You got it right @Michelle53! 👀 I would love to sip on some cold iced tea right now 🍵
@Quincy The Japanese cities are located Honshu Island. We travelled there on our way to walk the Elcomino in Spain in April 2018. We visited Hiroshima and the Peace Park. What a memorial for peace. This time (2nd world war) means a lot to many families as many of our fathers represented their countries for the name of protection and peace. I have a photo from my visit to the Peace Park in spring with Azaleas out in bloom.
@Laurelle3 It's always so uncanny yet intriguing when I see abandoned buildings like this.
and 26 across Iceland...
I almost went once but changed my mind because it was soooo expensive!
Also correct @Huma0! I actually was there in 2018 😃. Drove around the island which was lovely 🤩. I would highly recommend a visit whenever you can!
