Preparation time

Hello! We're fairly new to the game and trying to understand how preparation time works.

If Guest A has booked from Thursday to Monday, a new guest will be able to book from and including that Monday. That's great for us.

The thing that puzzles us is that if Guest B wants to book the week before, and leave on the Thursday, they're not able to. Thursday is listed as booked out.

In reality we've got the same amount of time for cleaning on either end.

Is there a way to fix this? To let Guest B book their stay including the first day of Guest A?

Thanks in advance for any pointers 🙂

You need to think "nights" (not days)

The guest can book wednesday-night (and check-out on thursday, which date is correctly blocked, as next guest has booked that thursdaynight ! )

Be careful doing same day changer overs, I block the day before and the day after, it used to be a feature on airbnb but I dont think it's there anymore,

I had a guest cook a full on breakfast and the place smelt I couldn't get rid of it, I had to put my ozone machine on, I had a guest arriving later that day,

Also check your calendar regular i see airbnb unblocked a day in November so now I have a same day change over, It means I will have to stick to my check out times I like to be a little bit flexible

@Sebastian1086 I do not understand why you want two different groups booked at the same time, if you have separate parts of the accomodation then you need two listings , remembering to alert all guests that they will be 'sharing ' accomodation . H

but if you simply mean the guest B moving from before or after the Thursday to Monday then they become guest C.These imaginary guests can book leaving in the mornings or arriving in the afternoon so do not be complacent because you may be surprised by exactly that situation . It just appears on your calendar as the day is grayed out . It does not look that way to the guest or future guest . Try checking your calendar 'incognito ' for a true representation of what your guest 'sees' H
