I had yet another example of Airbnb not briefing its support staff. I wondered why some of my listings were showing the Meet the Host pop up yet another did not. The first person I spoke to didn't have a clue what I was talking about. The next emailed me the standard response: "I will look into your case and you will be updated as soon as I have a resolution for your situation." So obviously didn't have a clue either. The third said several people had been in touch about the issue and that it was a "systems issue". Finally a fourth support person got back to me saying that the change applied to private rooms and not to entire places. I can't see the logic of that but at least it's a plausible explanation which Airbnb had clearly not passed on to support staff!
