Airbnb Host

Hi everyone, has anyone had any issues with unvalidated incidents in which guest checked in and decided to leave the next day without prior notification to host and having airbnb refund them when we have a strict cancelation policy? Please let me know your experience and thoughts.

@Rebecca The first thing I did was reach out to the guest when I received a notification on the portal from airbnb that they had approved a change in the reservation to 1 night and refunded the guest . I immediately reached out to the guest and asked if there was a problem with the home or reservation which I was not aware of and they started making up some stories about the property behind us telling airbnb that those guys fixing that property's roof leak were our construction and that his wife felt intimidated when she went back to our beach that the construction guys were looking at her. 

 

I immediately reached out to airbnb support and appealed his claim, validated it with photos, had testimonials, there were other guests occupying the two houses next to me with no complaints of anything and they disregarded my validation and proceeded with the refund saying that the pics the guest sent, which were from the other property, were valid enough to warrant a refund. That goes completely against my cancelation policy and even airbnb's cancelation refund. Still they did it, closed the case and disregarded my communication. I had no time to secure another reservation, lost that revenue and on top of that this guest left me with damages inside my home and losses.

 

Very upset and looking for a way to make airbnb accountable for all this!!!
