Airbnb Theft by host

I booked an Airbnb in Thailand and got $2000 usd stolen by the host and the cleaning maid. This happened in October 2022 and now is April 2023, Airbnb is doing nothing to protect and try solve this issue and pay my lost back. Nearly 6 months and my Airbnb claims agent sucks! She hasn’t update anything for past 3 months and unable to reach her. Her name is **. I have no idea why it is taking this long and I have provided everything to them. I told them, the Airbnb has cctv, just ask them for the films to prove their innocence then problem will be solved. Is not that hard to decide which party is lying. Airbnb if you can see this, I would like a manager or director to contact me and resolve my issue. You guys are being so irresponsible! @Airbnb

I totally agree this is what has shocked me with air bnb they are so greasy and fantastic when you hosting and giving them heaps of money but if it includes asking for money back it totally changes, they are terrible, won’t get back and mess you around , I hope you get some help from them , it must have been stressful enough with that happening without the extra stress of contacting bnb with no help or positive outcome I think they are going come unstuck because they are fake only good when they getting heaps of money

@Aaron1020 do you have a police report for your loss? Also was there really CCTV inside the Airbnb?

Yes I have filed a police report and yes the entrance of the house/ living room both have a cctv inside.  But is Thailand, communication was so hard. We asked the host and the maid for cctv footage but was refused. No one wants to be responsible, the host nor airbnb. 6 months and airbnb still “investigating”
