Airbnb review policy is JUNK!

Airbnb review policy is JUNK!

I was up for super host and a guest left a review that was an outright lie.  He said I didn't respond to his messages but Airbnb can clearly see for themselves that I answered ALL of his questions within 2 minutes.  They will not remove the negative review, even though they have PROOF that he is lying.  I'm very disappointed and always assumed that Airbnb would have the backs of their hosts.  I will probably be moving to a different platform.  I also have multiple properties.

@Jeremiah109 I did successfully get a retaliatory review removed. It was a hard, 2 month process, i  had to escalate several times. it sounds to me like the difference here is a bad review vs a retaliatory review perhaps? They are Not exactly the same thing , and unfortunately guests do lie.

You can always do a public response to the review stating something like- my other 5 star reviews speak for themselves. All communication is documented in Airbnb messaging and I’m not sure why you are stating (insert the guests complaint here) as that is not how things transpired.

Just don’t be nasty or defensive. Take the high road. Prospective guests will see pst this.

@Jeremiah109 It is near impossible to get a review removed. As such it is critical to reply carefully to the review aiming your response at future guests not the writer of the review.

Your response of

This is a completely false claim. Not sure why this review was left but I have proof that I responded to ALL of his messages within a 2 minute time period. Airbnb will do nothing to remove lying reviews. Hosts, beware! Airbnb will not have your back when someone lies on you.

will not help you get future bookings I am afraid.
