Awaiting Guest Review

Awaiting Guest Review

Hi everyone we just completed our first guest stay on our very first AirBnB!

Question for the community:

We gave our guest a review but on the page where it has all our messages it says above her name "Awaiting Guest Review"

Why is it still saying that if we submitted the review?

Thanks!

Hi @Marisa636 hope all is well. When you, as an Airbnb host, submit a review for a guest, the message "Awaiting Guest Review" typically remains displayed until the guest submits their review in return, or until the review period ends. Airbnb has a double-blind review system, meaning that reviews from both the host and the guest remain hidden until either both parties have submitted their reviews, or the review period (which is typically 14 days after checkout) expires.

In your case, even though you've submitted your review for the guest, the message "Awaiting Guest Review" indicates that the guest hasn't yet submitted their review of their stay at your property. Once the guest submits their review or the review period ends, this message should change, and the reviews will be made visible to both parties. If the guest doesn't submit a review within the 14-day period, your review of them will become visible after this period ends, but you won't be able to see a review from them if they didn't write one.

@Marisa636 the system is that both the guest and host review each other. As soon as they have then the reviews will be published. If only one party reviews then it will be published 14 days after checkout.
