Bookings sabotage

Hi all, we are heading into peak tourist season in Varkala Kerala. Has any hosts seen Bookings Sabotage where bookings are made only for them to be cancelled at the last minute (suspect these are other local businesses and hosts). I'm a new host and suspect a booking request from a user with zero history or profile might be bogus. Any thoughts on this?

@Zani50 I get the feeling some people book an Airbnb for visa purposes, and then when they get their VISA of it's refused, they cancel their original reservation. 

This is the main reason we no longer give out the exact address until 24 hours before the check-in time.

What is your communication comfort with the guest?  Not a guarantee but if a scam then he is probably set up with a routine.  Scammers usually don't respond to your question's either don't respond or ask you questions that are answered in  your ad because your basically receiving the scammers scheduled messages.  He isn't personalizing his stealing
