Is anyone else frustrated with changes made by Airbnb. I used to be able to set a check in day for specific dates. We are in a summer resort town so I need my listing to have Saturday check in only for July and August. Changes were made by Airbnb and now I cannot set dates for my Saturday check in. During the off season I allow any day check in. This change is frustrating because I am ready to open my calendar for next summer but I need this fixed first. My calendar will be a mess if I cannot set the check in day. HELP Airbnb!

I agree! The previous functionality was better by a long shot and much faster! I'm glad you were able to apply your custom checkin/checkout days using it (even if more cumbersome). That solves the immediate issue.
The best way to truly see if a rule set has been applied is to use the multicalendar and look for the shading you assigned on the date by scrolling to the right. You can tell at a glance if is there is one, and it's fairly quick to do. You cannot see the shading on the standard view calendar however. Any rule set you create is always available to review, edit, or apply in the right side panel.
Here is an example of some we use.
Its always best to send feedback to Airbnb (as many hosts have already).
Cheers!
Hi @Catherine2511 !
Yes...since the update, you have to turn on Pro Tools and use Rule sets to apply restrictions to check-in/check out days for specific dates on the calendar. All hosts can do this, even if you only have one property (previously, Airbnb restricted Pro Tools to Hosts with 6 or more properties). So far it has been working for other hosts with the same issues.

Hope this helps. Let us know how it goes!
I just got off the phone with support and they walked me through this. The only issue is that I do not like the view for pro tools. I have 4 listings and this view makes me crazy. But I guess I am stuck if I want to set my check in day.
Hi Catherine!
I understand and felt the same way when first using pro tools. If you want to view the standard calendar, just click the listing name. To go back to the multicalendar, click "Calendar" at the top. However, you'll need to use the multicalendar to use Rule Sets currently.
Rule Sets are actually designed to be used with the multicalendar specifically for hosts with multiple properties (even though it doesnt seem that way right now 😁.)
I have four properties, but I find these rules. That’s confusing because I sent one and then I couldn’t find it again. There’s not a place where you can just click on your roll sets and bring them up. I also just don’t like it I’d rather just apply it to the calendar without creating a rule set. I treat each of my listings very differently, so I don’t have to apply to all of them some thing that I’m applying to one.

Thank you, but I still hate this view. I can see the seasonal rule that I put in but I’d rather look at each calendar one at a time and see it that way. I preferred to look at my calendar in a month view. It’s easier for me to do, see my weekends and where I need to make adjustments. I hate the multi calendar.
Brilliant! Thanks so much 🙏
Hello @Catherine2511
Here is a great step by step guide done by @Joan2709 that will help you set up again check-in dates on the new "multi-calendar" but you have to enable "pro tools" to have access to the rule sets:

@Catherine2511 To solve your issue goto your account and switch on professional tools. Then in your calendar apply a ruleset to high season with your required check in/out days.
@Mike-And-Jane0 I have another question that I’m going to ask you directly because I cannot find it within Airbnb. How do I turn off Airbnb messaging to my guests? Specifically, I mean that they are sending my guest a message saying it’s time to check in. But they send a message an hour before my check in time. This causes a real issue for me as the unit isn’t ready yet. I do send my guest the door code as soon as the unit is ready and sometimes that is early. I let them know that I will do this, but when Airbnb sends a message saying it’s time to check in and the unit isn’t ready I end up with an angry guest
Yes me too! I have three weekends which are available for checkin on Saturday instead of a Friday. I don’t wish to alter my settings because as a rule 3 days at the weekend works better for me. I’m so surprised by the update and that more people haven’t commented.
@Lee-and-Richard0 Just follow the advice given and it is very easy to change these 3 weekends.
All done, worked a treat!!
